About the Community
Why I Created This Group Private practice can be isolating, and establishing a practice abroad adds an entirely new layer of administrative and cultural complexity. Navigating a new legal and financial system, establishing professional networks, and finding reliable peer support can be difficult when colleagues back home do not quite grasp the realities of working in France.
The Therapists in France Community is an informal, supportive peer network created to combat professional isolation and share practical, ground-level experience.
It is entirely free to join. I believe collegial support should remain accessible without being placed behind a paywall.
How the Community Connects
Three Ways to Stay in Touch
- Monthly Zoom Meetups: Held on the first Wednesday of every month at 9:00 AM (Paris time). An informal, welcoming space to connect, discuss practice realities, ask questions, and meet colleagues.
- WhatsApp Group: For day-to-day conversation, quick queries, resource sharing, and informal peer check-ins.
- Email List: For community announcements, monthly Zoom links, and workshop updates delivered directly to your inbox.
Eligibility & Requirements
Who Can Join? To keep this space safe, focused, and relevant, membership is reserved for:
- Therapists (counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, hypnotherapists, etc) currently practising in France.
- Qualified practitioners actively preparing their move to France.
